I just felt a pang for all my abandoned stuffed animals residing quietly in my parent’s basement.
My sister used to sleep with every stuffed animal she owned so as not to offend or hurt the feelings of any of them. She’s a better woman than I was. I played favorites.

I’ve always had an excess of empathy for stuffed animals. So much so that when I moved house recently, I took my entire collection with me because I couldn’t bear (*cough*) to abandon them.
